THE CAMPGROUND: Located along the shore of South Holston Lake,  Observation Knob Park offers one of the finest campgrounds in the  Southeast. The campground now requires reservations but has assured us there will be more than sufficient space to accommodate all campers with their new additional campgroundsimproved sites.

All attendees therefore should contact the  campground now, (423) 878-1881 to  reserve your site. The campground will require your first night's deposit in advance (paid with VISA/MC) which is non-refundable. You then settle when you arrive for additional nights that you will be staying.

Designated Area: We will be situated in our regular spot which is Area T. There are 21 improved capsites for RVs and tenters in this section with overflow provided in Section A (adjacent) which has another 26 improved sites.

Campground Fees: Fees are $20.00 for improved RV and tenting sites per night, and $15.00 for unimproved tent sites. You are allowed to double up tents on one site, however, there is a surcharge for doing so. Additional tents on the same site are charged $15 per night. You will be given a sticker for your vehicle which serves as your pass to enter and leave the campgrounds. NOTE: Please square away any camp site payment balances with the campground upon your arrival — we have had problems with folks who leave without paying in the past even though they have shared sites with others, and as such we would like to avoid such problems this year.

Finding A Site  All USABLE sites are marked with a Green Marker. Look for a site within our designated area with a Green Marker. If the site has an Orange Marker tag hanging from the bottom the site is Reserved. If you locate a site that does not have any marker on it, that site is not available for rent.

The campgrounds offer hot shower and toilet facilities, playgrounds for the kids (and big grown-up kids), an ice machine, a handicapped fishing station, and located on the shore of South Holston Lake is a ramp for those with a boat or for pontoon access, although due to low lake levels this Fall the ramp has been temporaily closed for boat launches.

Please put a FF@ sign/ or Tenn'Clave sign on your windshield for identification so that you may be directed by the campground staff to our designated section of the campground.

Each site is provided with a permanent picnic table and a fire ring. The improved sites do not offer sewage hookup but there is a Dump Station adjacent to the campground entrance. Bring your own firewood as there is none available at the campground and it can be cold this time of the year.

The campground locks up at 11:00 PM and should you arrive after closing, then come down to the FF@ Banner/Tenn'Clave HQ and look for available sites. You can settle up or relocate with the campground management in the morning. The Canopy (you can't miss it) will be straight down the driveway on the left at the corner of the first intersecting road. Please let us know if you will be arriving late and we will also try to post your site number at the Campground Entrance Shack as well. Additionally, there is a roving Security Patrol who assists as needed.

All fisherman should have a buddy nearby at all times when in amnd around the water.
